Posted on: 16 May 2013

Trinity’s 2013 Alumni Weekend programme was recently announced with this year’s event taking place on the 23 – 25 August.

Every year, Trinity welcomes back on campus over 500 graduates and friends to re-visit and re-connect with College.  A variety of events are taking place this year including a black tie banquet, a party in the pav, a family fun day and a variety of tours and talks.

Also a college-wide initiative will be launched this year which will encourage graduates to take a trip down memory lane and visit their old school, with all 24 schools signed up to host a coffee morning.

Commenting on the event, Trinity’s Vice President for Global Relations, Professor Jane Ohlmeyer, who will be the guest speaker at the Banquet said: “Trinity’s alumni network is a valuable part of the Trinity community and I am looking forward to welcoming back our graduates.  Our alumni community have a life-long link with the university and the events taking place over the Alumni Weekend will give them an opportunity to re-connect with their alma mater, celebrate their time in Trinity and reminisce with old friends.”

Alumni Relations Manager, Aoife Keogh, said: “We are very excited about this year. We held a number of focus groups in the planning stages and we got great feedback from our graduates.  There is something for everyone this year.”
