Trinity College Dublin Instagram Competition: Win a T-Ball 2024 Ticket

Eligibility: Trinity College Dublin students can enter the competition if they are fully registered for the academic year 2023/2024. Participants must be 18 years or older on the day they enter the competition. Entrants must reside in the Republic of Ireland and possess a valid Student ID. 

Entry Requirements: To participate in the competition, entrants must complete the following steps on Instagram: 

Follow Trinity College Dublin's Instagram account (@TrinityCollegeDublin). 

  • Like the competition post. 
  • Follow the @TrinityCollegeDublin account 
  • Comment below the post, stating their “Which is your favourite act from this year’s Trinity Ball line-up” 
  • Tag two friends in the comments. 
  • Additionally, entrants can earn a bonus entry by sharing the competition post to their Instagram story and tagging @TrinityCollegeDublin. 

Prize: One pair of tickets to the sold-out Trinity Ball 2024 event will be awarded. The value of each ticket is €91.00 ticket + €7.50 Service Charge per ticket = 98.50 euros. The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. There is no cash alternative for the prize.  

Competition Period: The competition starts on 05 April 2024 and ends at 16:00h on Wednesday, 10th of April 2024. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be considered. 

Winner Selection: The winner will be selected randomly using a selection app from all eligible entries received during the competition period. 

Announcement of Winner: The winner will be announced after 4pm on Wednesday, 10th of April on Trinity College Dublin's Instagram account. The winner will also be contacted via direct message on Instagram and must respond within 12 hours to claim the prize. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner. 

Prize Collection: The winner must collect their prize in person at 12 pm on Friday, 12th of April, at West Theatre. The winner must present valid identification (such as a student ID card) to verify their identity when collecting the prize. 


This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook (META). By entering, participants acknowledge that they are providing information to Trinity College Dublin and not to Instagram or Facebook (META). Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the competition should be directed to Trinity College Dublin. By entering this competition, you acknowledge that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with META. 

In order to participate, you must accept and adhere to Instagram's and Facebook’s guidelines for contests and promotions, which include disclosing the terms and conditions and making sure that all entrants understand they have no affiliation with Instagram or Facebook.

Any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading entries will result in immediate disqualification from the contest. This includes, but is not limited to, using fake accounts or multiple accounts to enter the contest, tampering with or manipulating the entry process, or providing false or misleading information. The Trinity Communications team will carefully review all entries, and any entrant found to be in violation of these rules will be disqualified. Our decision is final and non-negotiable. 

Entrants’ information will NOT be passed on to third parties. 

All entrants to the competition are deemed to have given consent to the disclosure of their name and usernames on Instagram, including their image as a winner. 

All entrants are deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions allowing Trinity College Dublin permission to publish their name and content on Trinity’s social media accounts and website. 

Trinity College Dublin reserves the right to amend, terminate, or withdraw the competition or alter the prize without prior notice. By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
