Trinity on the Move

Calling all members of the Trinity community - join us for a day of sponsored sport on 14th March to raise money for student hardship funds!

Trinity on the Move

Trinity on the Move will take place on Thursday 14 March. We want as many students, staff and alumni as possible to get involved in this day of sponsored sport and exercise. All money raised will go to two incredibly important student hardship funds – one within the Senior Tutor’s office and one within the Trinity Access Programmes.

The Flagship event for the day is a ’12 hour run’. We do not expect anyone to run for 12 hours of course – rather an organised run will take place from 7am to 7pm which you can do in a team clocking up 12 hours, or as individuals! There will also be other ‘sideline’ challenges, in formats and locations which you can organise to suit you, either on or off campus.

Set your own personal challenge at your level of fitness. You may want to do a couch to 5k challenge; some may find a challenge related to walking, swimming, wheelchair activity, or dancing. The choice is yours and be imaginative!

If you’re not on campus on 14 March, take part in a location that suits you, but please remember to share your pictures and videos with us on social media! #TrinityOnTheMove

The aim is to come together as a community and raise as much money as possible for the student hardship funds. Get yourself sponsored, encourage donations or donate yourself. The link to donate is here.

If you wish to participate in the flagship event, please register here.  If you are doing your sideline challenge on campus, please let us know by contacting sport@tcd.ie so we can manage the use of premises. Join the ‘Trinity on the Move’ Strava group to log your activity.

Students registering are required to donate €5 as individuals or €40 per team. The cost for staff and alumni is €10 (individuals) / €80 (per team). All money raised will go directly to the hardship funds. Spread the word, take part and encourage others to do so as well.
