Launching Trinity Research

Posted on: 07 March 2024

This week kicked off with the launch of Trinity Research.

Trinity’s research and innovation and enterprise functions have undergone a significant restructure, resulting in a new unit for the university: Trinity Research. Trinity Research brings together the former Office of the Dean of Research and the Research Development Office. Trinity Research comprises three new teams: the Research Strategy and Policy team, the Research Development Office, and the Mobilisation function.

To mark the beginning of this exciting new phase for Trinity Research, the Provost, Dr Linda Doyle hosted a launch in the Provost’s Saloon on Monday, bringing together staff from across Trinity to learn about the new unit.

At the launch, Prof Sinéad Ryan, Dean of Research, gave an overview of the new unit and spoke about its importance for Trinity, saying “We are pleased now to be fully consolidated and are very much looking forward to working together in support of the University's world-class research community. This launch event marks the end of the period of transition and the beginning of this exciting new phase.”
