Vice-President for Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lorraine Leeson, Dignity, Respect, and Consent Response Manager Rachel Skelly and Coordinator of the National Speak Out Office Elaine Mears spoke emphatically and impactfully at an Oireachtas Committee Hearing last week on how universities are responding to sexual violence and harassment in higher education.

Their contributions were informative and authentic, driving home the message that meaningful work is being done at Trinity to support people to disclose abuse, and on prevention, but that reducing sexual misconduct and violence demands a whole of society response.
