Trinity wins prestigious Athena Swan Silver Awards
Trinity College Dublin has won a silver institutional Athena Swan award for advancing gender equality. Two of its schools (Natural Sciences and Chemistry) have also received silver awards.

One in 4 students choose Trinity as top points ease
Cut-off points for Trinity’s Level 8 Single Honours courses have dropped on average by 12 points, while cut-offs for Joint Honours courses rose on average by 26 points. The number of courses requiring candidates to have achieved 600 points or more fell to eight from nine in both 2022 and 2021.

Astrophysicist wins European Research Council award to assess how life may emerge on other planets
Dr Luca Matrà has won a prestigious ERC Starting Grant valued at €1.5 million. He will use the funds to support a five-year research project aimed at understanding how exoplanets and exocomets can affect the presence of volatile molecules that could provide the potential building blocks of life on other Earth-like planets.
