PhD studentship available: Affordable Farming for Nature PhD

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a fully funded 4-year interdisciplinary project. The PhD student will be based in Trinity Business School, supervised primarily by Norah Campbell, Associate Professor of Business, Trinity Business School and co-supervised by Jane Stout, Professor of Ecology, School of Natural Sciences.

Funding: This is a 4-year PhD project funded by the Trinity Research Doctoral Award Scheme and covers an annual tax-free stipend of €25,000, and student fees.

Sustainable food on campus - WHO best buys strategy

Trinity Catering and Trinity Business School developed a Sustainable Food Strategy in summer 2023 that identified six strategies using the WHO best buys methodology:

  1. Plant slant the university;
  2. Use premiumisation to drive sustainability;
  3. Move to disposable free;
  4. Attend to the servicescape;
  5. Partner with others;
  6. Change the menu
