Sam Coffey - Pre-Sessional English Language Programme Instructor
Samantha has been teaching English since 2000. She has taught on, and managed, English language courses and teacher training programmes in a number of countries in Europe and North Africa over her 20-year career. Coming from a business and marketing background in newspapers, Samantha has also been a business trainer and ran her own language school in the UK for a number of years. Samantha is also a Trinity College London examiner and conducts examinations both face to face and online.
In 2018 Samantha moved to Ireland to complete a Master’s in TESOL at the University of Limerick, where she researched her thesis on ‘Teachers’ perspectives and cognition in English language pronunciation training’.
Since March 2020, Samantha has been teaching and examining online, including teaching English for Academic Purposes and Study Skills at Warwick University and running Cambridge University CELTA teacher training courses for the University of Limerick.
