Prof. Porter's research focuses on cancer metabolism and cancer cachexia. We are identifying key factors (i) that drive metastasis in oral and breast cancers and (ii) that drive and prevent cachexia in an in vitro model of cancer cachexia using cultured primary human skeletal muscle cells.
