Research Assistant, Occupational Therapy


Ms Hayley Connolly is a research assistant in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy. She holds a BSc in Sport Science with Exercise Physiology and a MSc in Exercise Physiology and it’s application to therapy. Prior to this role she has worked as a research assistant in University of Limerick on a study looking at fatigue in neurodegenerative disorders and Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases as well as working as an exercise physiologist in Canada and Dublin. She is currently working on a number of projects with Professor Deirdre Connolly based around Social Prescribing. Her current projects are looking into the suitability of Social Prescribing as a support service for cancer survivors, Evaluation methods for Social Prescribing services and experiences of women returning to work post breast cancer treatment and determining what supports would assist women in returning to work. She is a member of the All-Ireland Social Prescribing Research and Evaluation Committee.
