Postgraduate research opportunities in the Medical School

Students are accepted to work towards the degrees of Ph.D., M.Sc., M.D., M.Ch. and M.A.O. by research.  Postgraduate research students work under the supervision of a designated academic staff member in the School, and are admitted by the Dean of Graduate Studies on the recommendation of the Director of Postgraduate Teaching and Learning. Places are only offered to well-qualified applicants for whom a research supervisor is in place. A vibrant research environment exists within the many Disciplines and Research Centres that form the School of Medicine.
