Welcome to the Discipline of Occupational Therapy

Dr Tadhg Stapleton, Head of Discipline

The Discipline of Occupational Therapy at Trinity College has been in existence for over 30 years. Trinity College provided one of the first degree courses in Occupational Therapy in Europe.

The Discipline offers a four-year BSc. (Honours) degree in Occupational Therapy, along with research degrees to Masters (MSc.) and PhD level.

The Discipline is located in the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences on the grounds of St. James's Hospital, a purpose built facility for the Health Sciences. Teaching takes place in the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences and on the main Trinity College campus at College Green. The multi-professional health regulator of Ireland (CORU), the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI), and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) validate the undergraduate course. The Discipline is a member of ENOTHE, the European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education.
