Further Education & Training (FET) pathways to Trinity

There are many routes from Further Education & Training courses into degree courses in Trinity.

Mother and son at graduation QQI-FET Major Awards (also called Post-Leaving Cert courses, or PLCs) are widely accepted for entry to degrees at third level. There are over 100 places available in first year through this route.

There are many FET colleges with strong links to Trinity.

Every year we welcome students with QQI-FET Level 5/6 Major Awards from all over Ireland. We know these students thrive academically and socially after gaining the skills, subject knowledge and confidence from their studies in FET.

In Trinity, we value the skills and experience students bring from Further Education and Training (FET) and recognize the strong foundation Level 5/6 Major Awards provide. That’s why we offer clear progression pathways into all three Faculties.
