Higher Education Access Route (HEAR)

The Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) is a college and university scheme that offers places on reduced points and extra college support to school leavers from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are resident in the Republic of Ireland.

What HEAR means in Trinity

For incoming first year students to Trinity College, entering through the HEAR scheme, a Pre-University Orientation will take place ahead of the start of the academic year. It will give you the opportunity to become familiar with the campus and supports of TAP. You will be contacted about registering for Pre-University Orientation when you receive your offer to Trinity- attendance is mandatory. Email hear@tcd.ie for questions.
