The symposium brought philosophers from Ireland, Germany, Canada and the United States together to discuss Dr Samantha Fazekas' reconstruction of Arendt's theory of judgment.
Fazekas, a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, opened the day with a presentation on the book. Responses followed from Prof. Lilian Alweiss (Trinity College Dublin), Dr Maria Robaszkiewicz (Paderborn University), Prof. Ronald Beiner (University of Toronto), Prof. Roger Berkowitz (Bard College, joining online) and Dr Astrid Hähnlein (University of Freiburg).
