Active Breaks

Adding some movement into our day and avoiding periods of prolonged sitting are two simple and effective ways of improving health and mental alertness.

Videos

Why not encourage your students or colleagues to take an active break during lectures or meetings by incorporating a short exercise video (4 minutes duration) into your presentation?
We have two active break videos available here.

To include the video in your lecture, copy and paste this link into your presentation:

Slides

Alternatively, you may choose to incorporate our Active Breaks slides into your presentation.

You may download all all six slides as a rotating PowerPoint. There are two formats available.
Download the high resolution Move More Do More slideshow here.
Or the low resolution Move More Do More slideshow here.
Slides rotate every 15 seconds once you start the show.

You may also download each slide as a separate file to use within your presentation by clicking on the image of it below

If you have any questions or comments about the Active Breaks resources, we would love to hear them. Please contact Dr. Emer Barrett in the School of Physiotherapy.
