The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team at Trinity College Dublin was delighted to mark the outcomes of the EDI Photo Competition, Connection, Belonging, and Diversity Through Photography at our recent Thriving at Trinity: Celebrating EDI in Our Community event on February 12th, 2026.
Centred on themes of inclusion and belonging, the competition was delivered through the Programme for Access to Higher Education 4 (PATH 4) and invited staff and students to capture what belonging looks like within our community. The submissions were reviewed by a cross-community jury comprising Regan Oladipofaniyi (Student Union Ethnic Minorities Officer), Oluwajomiluwa Adeparusi (Afro-Caribbean Society president), Sasko Lazarov (PhotoCall Ireland), Henry James (Trinity Student Photography Society president), and Dr. Ronika Chakrabarti (Trinity Business School).
Following careful consideration, the following five prize winners were selected for this year’s EDI Photo Competition:
Cristina Bocardo (Belonging in Motion)

Ainur Zhussupbekova (Belonging in Science)

Jimena Alvarez Dominguez (Colours of Joy)

Anastasia Reztcova (Slay, Queen)

Lesley Strahan and the Day Nursery team (A Day at the Nursery)
