Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Photography Competition

Connection, Belonging, and Diversity Through Photography

We are excited to announce an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Photography Competition for staff and students focused on racial and ethnic equality at Trinity.

The Trinity Race Equality Action Plan commits to enabling a university community that is inclusive and welcoming environment for all. This competition is an opportunity to contribute to our shared goal of providing a thriving and equitable campus and ensuring Trinity is a welcoming place in which all can belong.

As part of Trinity’s ongoing efforts to foster diverse voices and backgrounds we are seeking photography submissions which creatively represent the sense of belonging and connection, with a focus on racial and ethnic inclusion, that we want to support at Trinity.

Submissions will be open until 26th January 2026.

In line with the principles of positive action to encourage diversity, submissions are open to any staff or student who identifies with a racial and/or ethnic minority group.

Financial prizes will be awarded to the top five entries which best capture the essence of Trinity’s strategic mission to be a university which is enriched by diverse backgrounds and perspectives. All entries may be invited for inclusion in future visual displays at Trinity, including on-campus exhibitions and showcasing in select online and print media.

Who Can Enter?

We are inviting submissions from staff and students who personally identify with a racial and/or ethnic minority group, including undergraduate, postgraduate students and staff from all areas of Trinity. Entries should creatively reflect community life, co-creation, or inclusion at Trinity with a focus on elements of racial and ethnic inclusion. Entries could include people, places, or more abstract imagery, and must be taken on a Trinity campus or at a Trinity-related activity.
