SEAHORSE
SEAHORSE - Safety Enhancements in transport by Achieving Human Orientated Resilient Shipping Environment.
The SEAHORSE project aims to address human factors and safety in maritime transport by transferring proven innovations, best-practices and methodologies from air transport to maritime transport in an effective, collaborative and innovative way.
The maritime transport sector is growing but safety lags behind other transport sectors (particularly aviation).
The objective is to enhance shipping safety by introducing the principles of resilience engineering and a ‘smart shortcuts’ methodology in an integrated framework which will result in multi-level resilience that links individuals, the team, multi-party teams and organisations involved in ship operations.
