Study History of Art and Architecture for the full four years of your degree. This will afford you the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge across the discipline, and to specialize in areas of particular interest to you.
History of Art and Architecture contributes to the joint honors degree, which allows you to study two subjects. As you progress you can choose to follow a number of pathways, which allow you either to specialize in one of subjects, or to study them equally across the four years of your degree.
Students taking this programme spend their first two years studying the History of Art in Dublin, and their second two years in New York. Your final degree is awarded from both institutions.
A number of programmes in the School of Histories and Humanities are open to Single Honors students in other subjects who wish to take up a new minor subject in their Senior Fresh year. Students who wish to pick up a new minor subject will take take 60 ECTS in the new minor subject of their choice across Years 2 to 4. The School offers new minors in History, History of Art, and Classics.
