Biography
Megan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Discipline of Physiotherapy. She is a CORU registered physiotherapist, having obtained her BSc in Physiotherapy in 2014 from Trinity College Dublin. She has worked as a physiotherapist both in Ireland and internationally since, predominantly within the specialties of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and gerontology. In 2017, Megan was awarded a Science Foundation Ireland PhD scholarship, under the supervision of Professor John Gormley (Discipline of Physiotherapy, Trinity College Dublin), to work on the Irish Personalised Approach to the Treatment of Haemophilia (iPATH) Study, led by Professor James O'Donnell. She obtained her PhD in 2022 from Trinity College Dublin for her research project which examined the relationship between physical activity, physical health and clinical phenotype amongst adults with moderate and severe haemophilia.

Research Expertise
Megan's main research interests include physical activity, physical fitness, musculoskeletal pain and lifestyle factors, and how these domains may impact physical functioning, quality of life and chronic health and disease risk amongst clinical populations (particularly those with haemophilia, other rare bleeding disorders, and liver disease). Within this context, she is also interested in the impact of ageing on these domains.
