Biography
Dr Louise Glover is Head of Research at Merrion Fertility Clinic on the National Maternity Hospital campus. She also holds adjunct positions (Assistant Professor/Clinical Lecturer) at both TCD and UCD Schools of Medicine. Dr Glover completed her postdoctoral training in Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston M.A., and was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado, where she worked in the field of mucosal immunology. She has previously served in the role of Principle Investigator and Co-investigator on projects funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Veterans Affairs. Dr Glover supervises a team of clinical (MD) and scientific (PhD, MSc) researchers investigating subfertility and its underlying mechanisms. Our translational research group maintains an active and productive portfolio, aimed at improving knowledge, expertise and care pathways in the field of reproductive medicine and assisted human reproduction (AHR), Dr Glover holds active memberships to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the British Fertility Society and is a member of the BFS Special Interest Group for Fertility Preservation. Her primary research interests are fertility preservation in adolescents and young adults facing gonadotoxic treatment, and reproductive immunology, in particular how ovarian and endometrial immune pathways are altered in subfertility.
