Arthritis is a leading cause of joint deformity and disability that affects up to 15% of the population, 2% suffer from inflammatory (IA) forms such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). It is also associated with significant co-morbidity including atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.

This short video made for World Arthritis Day explains the various types of patient centred, translational research that we do in the Rheumatology group in the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute.
