Research Expertise

Description

My research fits within the discipline of exercise physiology and all my studies are carried out on humans. Currently, my main research is focused on the effect of different training interventions and pharmacological therapies on vascular and metabolic adaptations and exercise tolerance in type 2 diabetes, obesity and ageing. In addition, I am also interested on the effect of cold water immersion recovery interventions on subsequent exercise performance and on the postural effect (body tilt) on peripheral circulation, muscle activation and muscle endurance.
