Over six weeks, you’ll be introduced to key ideas from moral and political philosophy, discuss real-world case studies, and build the tools to think critically and impartially about the role of AI in our lives. Topics include privacy rights, automation and work, the future of free speech online, and the possibility of artificial moral advisors.

This course is delivered by Dr. William Ratoff, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin. Dr. Ratoff's primary research interests lie in moral philosophy - especially the ethics of A.I. and the philosophy of mind and of cognitive science.
