Running from 29 January to 9 April 2026, the Thursday evening talks will take place in the JM Synge Theatre, led by academics from Trinity’s Department of Philosophy.
Professor John Divers, Head of the Department of Philosophy, said:
“Philosophy Today has become an important space for public discussion in Trinity. It offers people the chance to think through familiar issues from fresh angles and to see how philosophy remains vital to understanding the world around us.”
Speakers this year include Pablo Magaña Fernández, Ashley Shaw, Tom Farrell, Kenneth Silver, Rossella De Bernardi, and Julian Bacharach, covering topics such as workplace democracy, desire, scientific progress, wealth inequality, emotion norms, and the nature of memory.
Each talk takes place from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm in the JM Synge Theatre, Trinity College Dublin.
