Students from the Department of Philosophy were celebrated at this year’s School of Social Sciences and Philosophy Student Prize Ceremony, held on 8 December in the Synge Theatre. The event brought together students, families and friends, staff, alumni, and guests to acknowledge outstanding academic achievement across the School.

This year, eleven Philosophy prizes were awarded:

  • Georgia Carli: John Henry Bernard Prizes
  • Fiona Conner: John Isaac Beare Prize In Phlosophy
  • George Crittenden: John Isaac Beare Prize In Philosophy
  • Claudia Friel: William Lyons Prize
  • Eva Hendley: John Isaac Beare Prize In Philosophy 
  • Nora Mossing Krogsgaard – Jensen: John Henry Bernard Prizes
  • Jack Palmer: Wray Prize
  • James Radford: Harry Hartford Capstone Award and Arthur Aston Luce Memorial Prize 
  • Samuel Roles: John Isaac Beare Prize In Philosophy 
  • Diarmuid Sheehan: Madeleine Farrell Memorial Prize in Philosophy of Mind
  • Anand Shukla-Parekh: John Henry Bernard Prizes 

In addition to the departmental prizes, we are pleased to acknowledge our Philosophy Foundation Scholars and Gold Medal recipients, whose achievements were also recognised during the ceremony.
