Dr Will Ratoff’s talk, “Machines Like Us? The Ethics of Artificial General Intelligence,” delivered to a full house in the JM Synge Theatre on October 2, is now available to watch in full below. The event formed part of the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy’s 2025 Public Autumn Series, AI: The Age of Disruption.

During his talk, Dr Ratoff explored the social and moral challenges of living alongside superintelligent AI - from its potential use in warfare to its place in everyday life - followed by a lively discussion with the audience.
