Children's Sculpture Tour of St. Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny

Join us for a video tour of the stunning sculptures of St Canice's Cathedral in Kilkenny followed by a Question and Answer session with researcher Sarah Myers.

St Canice's Cathedral is a 13th century gothic cathedral with a remarkable collection of effigy tombs, murals, carved heads and much more. For this activity, you will receive a 20 minute pre-recorded video tour of the amazing sculptures at St Canice's and a worksheet.

Then join Sarah for a 30 minute online question and answer session, where pupils will get a chance to ask questions, hear additional information and participate in fun activities including learning about the types of stone in Kilkenny, stone masons' marks and the Victorian flower language used on Lord John Butler’s tomb.

This activity is best suited to primary school pupils from 3rd to 5th class.
