In this COVID world, families are at home together working, learning and managing as best they can in difficult circumstances.  In order to mark John Fields’ birthday (founder of the Fields Medal for outstanding achievement in mathematics), we are celebrating and highlighting the opportunities in the everyday lives of families for parents to support young children learning engage with numeracy concepts.

We have produced 6 short videos on how families can support young children with their numeracy during the school shutdown. Join us for the webinar on Thursday at 4.30 at this link

The videos will be available from 4.30 on Thursday 14th May for all to see and share on the TCD YouTube playlist Numeracy in the Now. Share your own videos on Twitter with the hashtag #NumeracyintheNow

Dr Bray has been working on this with Dr Devitt on this as part of the Family Digital Literacy project, a collaboration with NALA and funded by the Irish Research Council.  #FamilyLiteracyTCD @LoveIrishResearch @NALAIreland
