Work Placements and Graduate Internships

Our TCPID Business Partners provide us with student work placement and paid graduate internship opportunities.

Our student work placements take place in between February and April each year and are for one morning per week for a period of 8 weeks.

Our graduate internships are usually for 6 months for up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.

From the student / graduate point of view, the work placement / internship experience is of huge benefit in terms of increased independence and self-esteem. The skills developed go far beyond the daily tasks that the person is taught to complete.

From the business partner’s point of view, the experience is also a very rewarding one. The placement / internship allows businesses to work closely with, and mentor a student which then helps their own staff to develop additional skills. The TCPID works closely with the businesses before, during and after the placement to support them throughout.

Permanent contract with AIB for TCPID graduate Sean Byrne

We are thrilled with the news that our graduate Sean Byrne has just received a permanent contract working with AIB. Sean is one of our most recent graduates, having only completed the Certificate in Arts, Science and Inclusive Applied Practice in June 2022. He started a 6 month graduate internship in AIB in August 2022 and has now been offered a permanent contract.

TCPID Graduate Benóg Brady Bates receives a permanent contract with EY

Congratulations to our graduate Benóg Brady Bates who has been offered a permanent contract with EY. Benóg completed the Certificate in Arts, Science and Inclusive Applied Practice in June 2020. He has been working with EY in their Cork office since March 2021, joining the team during the Covid pandemic. Benóg worked online for most of the past year but has recently been able to return to the office.

TCPID graduate Niamh Biddulph secures permanent contract with An Post

TCPID Graduate Mark Hogan - Permanent Contract with EY
