There are dozens of filtered water fountains scattered around campus.  Come prepared and save a few quid on plastic water bottles!  You can find locations on our Sustainability Map Hub here:  https://www.tcd.ie/sustainability/resources/sustainability-maps-/

Student hack:  If your water bottle is a bit musty, take advantage of one of the free cup washers around campus - there is one in the Buttery (to the left near the entrance), in the Arts Block basement and the Forum in Trinity Business School.

We're trying to make it easier to shop second-hand with initiatives like Trash to Treasure happening twice a year.  We also have swap shop pop-ups during Climate and Biodiversity Action Week (12-16 Oct 2026) and Green Week.  If your society is hosting a swap shop let us know and we'll promote it!

Hack:  use the Viva Engage community groups to find free items on campus or to request items!  This is open to students and staff alike and we use it to find anything from office equipment to accommodation.  Access here.

Get a 10% discount on campus when you bring your reusable coffee cup instead of getting a disposable one.  Coffee on campus is a bargain!

Hack:  Get a 2GoCup if you forget!
