Campus Sustainability Tours

The Trinity Sustainability team give tours showcasing the work we're doing to restore biodiversity, tackle climate change and create healthy futures on Trinity's College Green campus.

We have welcomed hundreds of primary and secondary school students on campus, as well as visiting universities, community organisations and partners.  We enjoy sharing the great work we're doing as well as highlighting the challenges we face as a city-centre campus.

On these tours we look at some hidden biodiversity on campus that you may not notice  just by passing through, such as places where solitary bees like to hibernate, or places where specific species of birds come to eat.  We also show the spots on campus where we are making an effort to increase habitats and food sources for animals, as well as preserve the species we already have.

Biodiversity on Campus

By 2030, Trinity will be a nature-positive university. We envision a campus that restores and regenerates urban ecosystems in Dublin’s ecological network, that promotes nature positive practices to safeguard our long-term viability and resilience, and a community that inspires lifelong learning about nature, adds knowledge and leads by example.
