New Research Centre - Rinn Advanced Therapies
Professor Sakis Mantalaris, from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, will lead the National Research Centre Rinn Advanced Therapies, funded by Research Ireland. The Centre has a significant involvement of academics from the School: Prof Nicki Panoskaltsis, Prof David Finlay, Prof Anne Marie Healy, Prof Lorraine O’Driscoll, Prof Lidia Tajber, Prof Cristín Ryan, Dr Deirdre D’Arcy and Dr Bernard Naughton.

Dr Syed Ahmed Shah awarded CHARM-EU seed funding for brain cancer research
Dr Shah's project will focus on delivering effective treatment for glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, which affects up to 300,000 people globally each year.
