MMT Showcase - Electronic & Electrical Engineering

As the course encourages music and arts students to engage with technology and students from other disciplines to engage with music and media, it equips graduates with a myriad of skills and knowledge that they can take to their chosen field. Our graduates therefore go on to work in many different areas, including but not limited to – music composition and performance, acoustics, academic research, audio engineering, education, sound design for gaming, film and theatre, video editing, web design, digital signal processing, tv and film production, and software development.

Music

Many MMT graduates now work as composers and performers, and are also engaged in organising and curating local and international music concerts and festivals

Visual Music, Visual Arts and Media

The visual arts are also an important and distinctive aspect of the MMT programme, and many of our graduates now produce visual music, visuals for live music performances, and audiovisual installations.

Technology, Research and Education

Many MMT graduates work in education, or pursue further research in both academia and industry in a diverse range of fields such as acoustics, audio engineering, gaming, music, and arts practice based research.

Audio Production and Sound Design

MMT graduates have founded recording studios, work as live sound/broadcast engineers, and produce sound design for theatre, film, TV, gaming, and Virtual Reality.

Graduate Shows & Exhibitions

Since the MMT course had its first cohort of graduates in 1998, there have been annual MMT Graduate shows and Exhibitions showcasing the final thesis research projects and creative work by students each year.
