Some excellent news from a sunny Trinity Monday and exciting celebrations for the School of Dental Science.🎉
Huge congratulations to our outstanding Undergraduates Sarah O’Connor and Zofia Bielicka on being elected to Foundation Scholarship. The annual announcement, which is always an occasion of great anticipation and excitement, was made in Front Square by the Provost, Dr Linda Doyle.
Foundation Scholarship is the most prestigious undergraduate award at Trinity College Dublin and is presented each year to students who demonstrate exceptional knowledge in their subjects. Some of our greatest alumni – such as former president of Ireland Mary Robinson, Edmund Burke and Samuel Beckett – have been elected to Scholarship and it remains a distinctive feature of student life.
Scholars enjoy significant benefits with the award, including Commons (evening meals) free of charge, rooms free of charge for up to nine months of the year and, where a student is not in receipt of outside scholarships or grants, fee remission for up to five years to the value of the EU fee level.
An enormous thank you also to Prof Jeff O’Sullivan for coordinating the Scholarship examinations process.
