Postgraduate Structure
The MMT programme is a full-time, twelve month course (or part-time over twenty four months). During the first semester, students must take two required modules, Acoustics and Auditory Perception, and Research Methods, along with a number of elective modules to make a total of 30 credits. In the second semesters students must select a number of elective modules to make 30 credits in total. The third semester, which is open to who passed both the first and second semesters, has a greater research orientation and requires the completion of a research project and written thesis. Part-time students in year one must take a minimum of 30 credits of which Psychoacoustics will make up 5. Part-time students in year two must again take a minimum of 30 credits of which Research Methods will make up 5.
