Nature Connection Workshop: Forest Bathing and Ikebana Class - Saturday the 29th of August.
Dr Kamila Kwasniewska, plant scientist and botanist, certified forest bathing guide and ikebana practitioner, works towards connecting people with nature through five pathways: senses, emotion, beauty, meaning and compassion.
As summer gives way to autumn, nature invites us to pause, reflect, and savour the season before it changes. Join Kamila for a peaceful morning in the beautiful setting of the Trinity College Botanic Gardens, celebrating the transition through forest bathing and ikebana – the Japanese art of floral arranging.
We begin with a guided forest bathing session among the gardens' magnificent trees and seasonal blooms. Through a series of simple sensory invitations, you will slow down, awaken your senses, and reconnect with yourself, nature, and the present moment.
Following a relaxing tea break with homemade vegan treats, we will move indoors for an ikebana workshop inspired by the changing season. Using carefully selected late-summer flowers, grasses and foliage, you will create two beautiful arrangements while exploring the balance, simplicity and harmony at the heart of this mindful Japanese art.
This workshop offers a gentle opportunity to reconnect with nature, spark your creativity, and embrace the transition into autumn feeling calmer, restored, and inspired.

This was a wonderful experience of mindfulness in nature and with flowers - in an amazing 'secret' location in Dublin - Kamila created a very thoughtful and well-planned day - highly recommended.

It was an amazing and peaceful experience, and the host was lovely and very kind. I really enjoyed every single minute. I want to try this again. The Autumn Pumpkin Flower arrangement was also really fun and therapeutic.

I did a forest bathing workshop with Kamila last week. She made our little group feel immediately welcome bringing us her own herbal tea and vegan treats! It was wonderful to take some time to reconnect with nature and with our own inner nature. In our chaotic fractured world, a day with Kamila brings peace and harmony. I’ll be back!
