Botanical Art with Mary Dillon
Visual artist and Botanical art teacher Mary Dillon will be running a two-day practical course in botanical drawing and watercolour illustration based in the Trinity Botanic Gardens at Dartry, Dublin 6 (nearest Luas Station, Milltown).
All abilities will be catered for in this course as each participant will receive individual tuition. A botanical drawing session occupies the first part of Day 1 and participants produce preparatory drawings to work from in the water colour course in the afternoon and on Day 2. Plants are sourced in the extensive gardens and glass houses on site and all drawings are done from life.
Date, Time, and Place
Autumn 2026: October 14 and 15, 2026, in the Trinity Botanic Gardens opposite Palmerston Park at Dartry, Dublin 6 (nearest Luas Station, Milltown). All sessions start at 10:30am and end at 4pm.
Spring 2027: TBC May in the Trinity Botanic Gardens opposite Palmerston Park at Dartry, Dublin 6 (nearest Luas Station, Milltown). All sessions start at 10:30am and end at 4pm.

The next course will take place on October 2026 and May 2027.
Fee for the two-day course is 300euro excluding materials, if materials need to be supplied an additional charge of 40euro can be paid in cash on the first morning of the course.
