September Orientation 2026

Postgraduate Orientation Week will take place 07 - 11 September 2026.

Your timetable will appear on these pages in July 2026

You must attend one General Orientation session during the week, and you can then build your orientation timetable from other available events to suit you.

Orientation events will be hybrid, so you may attend in person or watch them live online.

Links to the online sessions will be available on this page prior to Orientation. Links to book campus tours and social events will be available from Monday 31 August.

ID Card Collection

Once you are registered as a Trinity student you are eligible for a student ID card (TCard). To avail of a TCard, you need to log in to the TCard Portal using your Trinity username and password (not your student ID number, application number, or email address) and follow the instructions to upload a photo.

Those of you joining us prior to September 2026 should visit the Academic Registry to collect your TCard. If you are a September entrant, the Academic Registry will contact you about ID card collection before or during Orientation Week.

Orientation Hub

The Orientation Hub will be open in the Exam Hall every day during Orientation Week from 10-3.
As well as collecting your ID Card, we'll have a range of services on site to help you get set up and ready for your first week.

So if you have questions for Academic Registry, IT Services, Trinity Global, the disAbility Service, or other services, pop in to the Orientation Hub and ask!

Garda Vetting

Some courses require students to complete the Garda Vetting process before they will be able to register. You can see the list on the Garda Vetting page. If it is required, download the forms and follow the guidelines carefully.

Health Screening

Some courses require students to complete TCD health screening requirements. Failure to do so may result in you being withdrawn from your course and a re-admission fee will apply.
