Orientation Timetable for Visiting Students
Orientation Week for visiting students arriving in January 2026 will take place from Monday 12th - Friday 16th January 2026.
Please note that this timetable is subject to change over the coming weeks. Please check back to ensure you have the right one. Most in-person sessions will be livestreamed and recordings made available afterwards.
Module Enrolment is the name we give to signing up to your classes at Trinity. Module Enrolment is open from 12pm on Monday 8th December and closes at 5pm (Irish Time) on Wednesday 17th December. Make sure to check the Module Enrolment page to find more, including details of module options.
The Module Enrolment Amendment period will run from 12pm on Monday 12th January until 5pm Friday January 31st. Both the Module Enrolment and Module Removal Forms will reopen and be available on the Module Enrolment page during this time. Students will be sent a reminder email, and Module Amendment Information sessions held during Orientation Week will provide further guidance on the process.
As well as central sessions led by the Academic Registry, Schools and Departments may host Welcome & Module Information Sessions to support you in choosing your appropriate curriculum. If your School is hosting a Welcome & Module Information Session, it will be added to the timetable below, so please check this page regularly so that you don't miss out.
Please note that Orientation Week Module Amendment Information Sessions will cover amending your choices ONLY. You MUST submit (an) initial Module Enrolment Form(s) by 5pm on 17th December.

Which Visiting Student Cohort Do I Belong To?
It is important to understand which Visiting Student cohort you belong to, as this will have an impact on the fee, credit, and paperwork requirements for your time here. Certain Orientation sessions are held specifically for particular Visiting Student cohorts in order to ensure that everyone receives the information that is most relevant for them.
The term 'Visiting Students' refers to all students who study at Trinity for either a single Semester or an Academic Year, but do not complete their degree at Trinity.
Erasmus/EU Visiting Students
- Erasmus Students join us via an Erasmus Exchange Agreement that Trinity has with their home university. They are hosted by a specific School/Department and do not pay fees to Trinity.
- Consortium Students fall under the Erasmus programme but are not hosted by a specific School/Department. They do not pay fees to Trinity. Consortium examples are CHARM, COIMBRA, and ELAN.
- EU Visiting Students are direct entry applicants from an EU university with no Erasmus Exchange Agreement with Trinity. They are required to pay fees.
Non-EU Exchange/Study Abroad Students
- Non-EU Exchange Students come through a Non-EU Exchange Agreement that Trinity has with their home university and do not pay fees.
- Study Abroad Students are direct entry applicants from a non-EU university with no Exchange Agreement with Trinity. They are required to pay fees.
- Students Coming Through An Agency fall under the Study Abroad category, but the agent applies on their behalf and is invoiced for the student's fees.
