Orientation Timetable for Visiting/Study Abroad/Exchange and Erasmus Students

Orientation Week for Visiting/Study Abroad/Exchange and Erasmus students arriving in September 2025 will take place 8th - 12th September 2025.

Please note that this timetable is subject to change over the coming weeks. Please check back to ensure you have the right one. Most in-person sessions will be livestreamed and recordings made available afterwards.

Your Schools and Departments may host Module Information & Enrolment Sessions for you to attend in order for you to choose your appropriate curriculum. Details of module options can be found on the Module Enrolment page. If your School is hosting a Module Enrolment Information Session, it will be added to the timetable below, so please check this page regularly so that you don't miss out.

Booking links for campus tours and social events will be available from Monday 1st September

ID Card Collection: The Academic Registry will contact you through my.tcd.ie to let you know how to collect your Trinity student ID card (TCard).

Am I an Erasmus student or a Visiting/Study Abroad/Exchange student?

Certain Orientation Week sessions are held specifically for Erasmus students or Visiting/Study Abroad/Exchange students.

Erasmus students are students who are enrolled at higher-education institutions within the European Union who visit Trinity for either a semester or a full academic year. Their study at Trinity is subject to an Erasmus Agreement.*

*Students from a select number of institutions outside the EU may also visit Trinity on an Erasmus Agreement, and thus be considered Erasmus students.

Visiting/Study Abroad/Exchange students are students who are enrolled at higher-education institutions outside of the European Union, whose one-semester or one-year visit to Trinity is not subject to an Erasmus Agreement. The terms 'Visiting,' 'Study Abroad,' and 'Exchange' are often used interchangeably at Trinity.

ID Card Collection

Once you have registered, you are eligible for a student ID card (TCard). To avail of a TCard you need to log in to the TCard Portal using your Trinity username and password and follow the instructions to upload a photo. When your TCard is ready you will be emailed a time to collect it from the Orientation Hub in the Exam Hall.

Note: Please ensure when logging in to the TCard Portal that you are using your username rather than your student ID number or email address.

Orientation Hub

The Orientation Hub will be open in the Exam Hall every day during Orientation Week from 10am-3pm.

As well as being the place to collect your ID Card, the Orientation Hub will also have a range of services on site to help you get set up and ready for your first week. So, if you have questions for the Academic Registry, IT Services, Trinity Global, the disAbility Service, or other areas, pop in to the Hub and ask!
