Environment and society

This theme explores the human dimensions of environmental change, including governance, science-policy communication, sustainability, human health, and the social implications of environmental pressures. Our research examines how communities, institutions, and decision-makers respond to environmental challenges, and how more just, equitable, and sustainable futures can be supported through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Example of projects:

  • Emergence, Resilience, and Vulnerability of Booterstown Spit as Urban Coastal Infrastructure.
  • The 5th European Code Against Cancer.
  • The Circular Bioeconomy Education Centre (CBEC).
