Congratulations to PhD student Cáit Murphy on her new article in Film Matters journal, titled 'The Complexities of Exile, the Other, and the Postcolonial Predicament in Beau Travail (Claire Denis, 1999),' and based on her undergraduate research in the Department of Film. Cáit's PhD project looks at the new confrontational caméra-stylo of the social media era. It is supported by a Provost's Project Award as part of Assistant Prof. Jennifer O'Meara's research project, Experiments in Digital Screen Culture: from Avant-Garde Film to Augmented Reality.
