Harry Hartford, B.A. Economics and Social Studies (class of 1982) is a long term supporter of the Trinity Student Economic Review (SER) and the annual Harry Hartford prize for a Junior Sophister student achieving excellence in economic analysis.

The SER is an undergraduate journal published annually by our Junior Sophister economics students. The Review prides itself on the encouragement and promotion of original undergraduate research and publication. Essays are chosen by the editorial members of the committee from a large range of submitted work and the canon over the years includes contributions by many leading figures in the worlds of business, economics and politics who honed their skills in the SER.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the SER and former Committee members, contributors and friends of the Review, including Harry Hartford, will be gathering in Trinity from around the world to celebrate this milestone event on March 24th.

“I’m delighted to have played a small part in the growth and development of Trinity’s Student Economic Review.  Its ongoing success and reputation is testament to the hard work and dedication of Professor O’Hagan, other faculty members and students alike”.
