Using GenAI in Teaching and Learning (Facilitated Module).
Funded by the HEA/National Forum, this course is designed to help you build foundational knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), enabling you to explore how to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) into your teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
Delivered fully online, the course spans six weeks—from September 10th to October 22nd—and involves approximately 25 learning hours. The course includes a mix of live (synchronous) sessions, self-paced (asynchronous) content, peer collaboration, group activities, and individual study.
Registration is now closed for Michaelmas Term 2025. This module will run again in 2026. (Please note a self study version of this module is also available).
Module Learning Outcomes
- Recognise what is meant by the terminology used around GenAI, with a particular focus on its use within higher education;
- Evaluate the use of AI in teaching, learning and assessment with a focus on ‘what, why and how’;
- Explore and reflect on pedagogical practices within the disciplines which incorporate the use of GenAI;
- Design and embed GenAI within your teaching, learning or assessment practices.
