Research Projects in the Centre for Academic Practice
The Centre for Academic Practice at Trinity College Dublin is a national leader in innovation and research in higher education. Since its establishment in 2003, CAP has played a central role in advancing Trinity’s mission to enhance academic practice through pioneering research and transformative teaching, and has disseminated its work nationally and internationally at conferences and in peer-reviewed publications.
Members of the CAP team have cutting-edge expertise across critically important research areas including generative AI, digital education, STEM pedagogy, curriculum design, assessment and feedback. This breadth of knowledge informs our work with academic staff across the university, supporting the integration of new pedagogical approaches and technologies through our suite of academic development offerings and consultancy.
Recent research highlights include cross-sectoral ground-breaking work in GenAI and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and further collaboration through the ReLI Hub is planned.
