What are the Postgraduate Teaching Awards?
The Trinity Teaching Award for Postgraduate Students aims to identify and recognise individual postgraduate students who make a substantial contribution to undergraduate student learning. Under the terms of the scheme, Schools nominate postgraduate students that they believe merit recognition for undergraduate teaching /demonstrating. These nominations are reviewed by a panel and a selection of nominated students are shortlisted for an award and, following interviews with and presentations from the shortlisted candidates a number of annual award winners are announced.
The successful candidates will each receive a cash prize, certificate and a commemorative plaque. The scheme is run by the Graduate Studies Office with the support from the Centre for Academic Practice.
The call for nominations is typically issued to Schools in Michaelmas Term. Schools may nominate up to 3 postgraduate students for consideration by the selection panel, which is chaired by the Dean of Graduate Studies and has cross-Faculty and student representation.
Please visit the Graduate Studies Office website for further details on these awards.
