On June 10th, 2019. The Universal Design Guidelines for Early Learning and Care settings were launched by Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone. The guidelines are an important step in making all ELC services accessible to all children, and will offer guidance on the refurbishment, renovation and building of centres for Early Learning and Care in Ireland from a Universal Design approach. The work was undertaken by TrinityHaus in collaboration with Early Childhood Ireland, Mary Immaculate College and Nathan Somers Design on behalf of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs and the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design at the National Disability Authority.
