Eleanor Lampard
My name is Eleanor, and I am from North Wales. I am on a 4-year scholarship funded by Teagasc as part of the CALMS project. My focus is on agricultural land and how soil type, management and land-use influence carbon sequestration. I hope this research will not only add to a much-needed database of Irish specific data but will help improve soil quality and reduce carbon emissions and shape policy to help both farmers and our ecosystem.
I completed my undergraduate (BSc) and master's (MSc) degrees at Lancaster University, UK. Studying Environmental Science and Environment and Development respectively. Last year I undertook a 10-month course at the Arctic University of Norway (UiT) to become an Arctic nature guide. In my free time I spend most of it outdoors doing something active or exploring new places.
