Hi there! I’m Ewelina, originally from a very small town in Poland called Kietrz and have been living in Ireland since 2006.

I’m Tangent’s Examination and Assessment Officer. With a background in engineering, business, and data analytics, I’m in charge of the day-to-day coordination and management of all examination, assessment, and award related activity within Tangent. I also act as Disability Liaison Officer and a first point of contact in terms of progression issues.

As my colleague, Jeanne, I have an unusual ‘thing’ for processes and workflow automation and get very excited with Excel formulas and Power Automate. Therefore, in my less busy times I research and test new ways of process automation to ensure the timely and accurate release and recording of all results.

Numbers and data analytics are another of my work-related passions. I have always felt that numbers "speak" to me more than words. I confirmed this when doing a diploma in data analytics, and now I use this skill to analyse and predict student performance and detect unusual trends.

When I'm not working, I devote my time to books, movies or adventures. In spring, summer, and early autumn I spend a lot of time hiking in the mountains and forests and rock climbing. In winter I switch to skiing and indoor climbing and bouldering. I have just returned from rock climbing in El Chorro, Spain, and am currently preparing for a January ski trip to Serre Chevalier in the French Alps.
